The Relationship between HR and Recruitment Agencies
During a presentation to an audience of senior HR professionals at a recent seminar we hosted, we spoke about the findings of a joint publication between the CIPD and the REC, who are the governing body for the recruitment industry, on the subject of “The relationship between HR and recruitment agencies”

Update on the Agency Workers Directive
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has brought a delegation from its Agency Work Commission to discuss the second reading of the Agency Workers Directive. Whilst the REC continues to look at how best the Directive can be implemented in the UK, the directive itself still needs to be finalized.

Disability Discrimination: Are non-disabled employees protected as carers?
The ECJ has, reached a decision in Coleman vs. Attridge Law, in answer to questions posed of it by London South Employment Tribunal. The ECJ has confirmed that the EU Equal Treatment Framework Directive is intended to prohibit associative discrimination in the context of discrimination and harassment.
