The REC
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is the trade body that supports and represents the recruitment industry.
Their mission is to be recognised as the informed choice of the recruitment community, influencing government and business today for the benefit of Members and the employment market of tomorrow.
At Permanent Solutions Direct we adhere strictly to the REC Code of Professional Conduct, and our meticulous approach to customer care was acknowledged by the REC in June 2007 with a successful compulsory audit. This practice was introduced by the REC in response to external pressure to monitor the compliance of their members to the statutory Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003. This outcome was affirmation of our professional and ethical service commitment.

Lisa Jarvis, one of the Directors of Permanent Solutions Direct, is a Fellow of the REC and a member of the Steering and Awarding Committee for the REC’s Certificate in Recruitment Practice qualification. The Certificate is an ideal qualification for those new to the industry or those with experience but without any formal training or qualification, and the REC are now a recognised Ofqual Awarding Body (Ofqual are the Government’s Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator).
