Lisa shortlisted for the Eileen Simpson Award
Lisa Jarvis, owner of Permanent Solutions Direct, has been short listed in The Eileen Simpson Award for Outstanding Contribution 2009 category at the forthcoming REC IRP (Institute of Recruitment Professionals) Awards.
The REC received a bumper crop of entries demonstrating how much the recruitment industry acknowledges the importance of these new awards and the prestige it will bring the winners in each of the 13 categories.
The finalists go forward to the glittering awards ceremony at the HAC, Central London on the 26th November. The standards and the quality of the entries gave the judges enormous difficulty choosing because of the commitment and dedication shown by those recruitment professionals.
The REC’s Chief Executive and awards judge Kevin Green said: “Selecting those to go on the shortlist gave rise to numerous debates and discussions. It was a tough job, but we now have a list of fantastic finalists all of whom we all wish every success at the awards ceremony.
“I would encourage anyone who knows any of the finalists to take time to congratulate them now. They are already winners and they deserve the recognition for their hard work which has led to this achievement.”
Fellow judge, Clare Normanton, HR Director at Eurostar said: “Winning one of the awards will show their clients, candidates and peers just how seriously they take their standards of professionalism as a recruiter and indeed, as an ambassador for this dynamic industry.”
The identities of the winners will remain a closely guarded secret until the awards ceremony itself which takes place on Thursday 26th November at 7pm at the HAC in City Road, London, following on from the REC’s first-ever National Convention. The Convention will focus on the Future of Employment agenda and will feature keynote speakers, master classes/seminar sessions and an exhibition.
